      My philosophy of art education begins with my unfolding awareness that each student is unique and innately creative. From a holistic perspective, students are encouraged to express their vision as it relates to their thoughts and feelings about themselves and the world around them. Instruction is carefully cultivated to guide creative development through the use of various materials.

     Art techniques are learned while students are taught to make connections between their artistic expressions and the elements and principles of art and design. Through this approach, learning develops naturally. Experimentation with ideas through form flows easily as the joy of creativity ignites within the heart.
Course offerings incorporate all forms of art media. Special programs include permanent installation of large scale mural projects in ceramic tile, painted on board or a prepared surface. Large and small group workshops and private instruction is also available.
